Kennedy High School, New Orleans, Louisiana in 1968 and completed his education at LSU, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; University of New Orleans, Louisiana; Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana and Loyola University, New Orleans, Louisiana. |

Lonnie Varisco Host Chef Lonnie Varisco, Headmaster and Chef Instructor at the Culinary Institute of New Orleans, is a local talent come home. After formal training in Culinary Arts at the New England Culinary Institute, Chef Varisco worked throughout the United States from the East Coast to the West Coast as Executive Chef. His culinary experience includes being an owner/operator of a restaurant consulting business and a gourmet food and wine store. He developed an appreciation of wines while a consultant for a national wine distributor. His portfolio includes appearances on network and PBS television cooking shows, in addition to, guest lectures and demonstrations on cooking styles, techniques, nutrition and dietary concerns. |
